Each
weekday, ten volunteers and two staff members work together to provide
services to our clients who generally represent a household. The
clients are greeted and then given the opportunity to sit privately
and discuss their problems and needs with one of the trained
volunteers. The interview process includes an evaluation of the clientís
emergency, what type of assistance the Coalition could offer and if
other community resources may be recommended.
MISSION
To meet the emergency
needs of Moore County residents in distress
by providing food, clothing and financial assistance and to refer
those with on-going needs to appropriate sources.
NON-PROFIT
The Coalition for Human Care is a state
chartered non-profit corporation founded in 1986 by twelve concerned
churches. Currently, over 60 area churches support the effort
along with the United Way of Moore County, many service organizations
and businesses, as well as individuals and our resale shops.
